Our town and region should become even more well known and loved for its variety and quality of ART, CULTURE, and EVENTS. This can improve the value of our “village” town and region and further increase the tourism numbers throughout the year and not only seasonal attractions. ART also plays a huge role in social upliftment and economic recovery.

The FORUM realized the necessity to have a formalised system to combine and process these ART & EVENTS related initiatives. Also, to have leading participants with collective abilities, time, and appetite to attend and or coordinate these matters.

Since the Forum is also represented on the Overstrand Mun Council - Ward 3 committee, we are well-positioned to communicate needs to the Council and would like to initiate such a system, together with collective participation from all our artists formal and informal.

We have ALREADY created an ARTS & EVENTS Cluster, as one of the Forum’s focus points as we did with other Clusters.

Perhaps you appreciated the décor on the Swallow Park tree ( our first project ) that we did over the past Christmas season ( as part of an event coordinated by the PPP ). We have the vision to unite and promote and beautify our lovely town through all forms of ART.

We hope to see positive participation and we will call arrange an informative meeting in early March 2022. Our towns and artists need members to champion these activities. Please participate!
