Short Summary of the CBD Meeting Held

The Whale Coast Business and Community Forum with close to 800 members from the amalgamation of the CCF and HBCF held a meeting in the CBD to establish its first of many to follow Clusters.

The CBD and the composition of our town have many sectors and we understand that not all suburbs or industrial areas have the same issues. Thus we will establish a number of Clusters within our structure. During the CBD Cluster meeting, it was established that three issues need urgent attention.

Members and none members attending made it clear.

1. Security in the CBD

2. The proposed University

3. The CBD Pipeline

Stability of the CBD is of paramount to a prosperous social and economic future of our town and region.

The cluster Chairman is Philip-Ben Kotze and for the interim, he will be assisted by Terri Falter. Both have been active business persons in the CBD for years with will proven track records. If you would like to become involved kindly reach out to them if you’re a business in the CBD. We anticipate a feedback meeting early in the new year.
